Shaping the future of Paediatrics
A Day Discussing Paediatric Career Pathways
29th February 2020
@ Brighton University, Falmer Campus
About the Conference
We are so proud to be hosting the 9th National Student Paediatric Conference (NSPC) on the 29th February 2020 at the University of Brighton. This year's theme is 'Shaping the Future of Paediatrics: A day discussing Paediatric Career Pathways'. The aim of the conference is to provide delegates with the opportunity to explore a variety of career pathways in Paediatrics, participate in smaller group seminars and network with leading Paediatric Specialists. All delegates will receive breakfast, lunch and refreshments throughout the day and a certificate of attendance. As is tradition, we will be celebrating the end of the conference with a Black Tie Ball at the Jury's Inn on the Brighton Seafront. The ball features arrival drinks, a three course meal and entertainment throughout the night including a raffle to raise money for our chosen charities: Haydn's Wish, Whoopsadaisy and Rockinghorse.
Please follow the link to purchase tickets and to find out more about the conference, confirmed speakers and seminars scheduled for the afternoon. You will also find details on how to enter the poster competition. We hope to see you there!
Who Can Attend?
Although the conference is organised by students at Brighton and Sussex Medical School, the content is relevant to students in any healthcare discipline as well as education so we warmly welcome our colleagues from the Nursing, Midwifery, Paramedic Science and Education courses at the Universities of Brighton and Sussex, in addition to those from elsewhere in the world who choose to attend. If students are visiting from other universities, feel free to contact us and we can help find appropriate accommodation. Certificates for attendance are included in the price of the tickets.
Last year's Paediatric Conference was about childhood identity and mental health. It was a huge success and it was great to see everyone engage with the speakers and workshop leaders. Due to feedback from the delegates, we have decided that this year's conference will focus on career pathways in Paediatrics.
